Its all done and I am bloody knackered. I dont care if we dont have it now because I am not going near a shop for at least a week.

Done the 'visit the family' bit, remembered batteries for various toys, made my last trip to the post office in a while. Now I am going to relax.

Woooo hooooo My sister has just landed at Heathrow London at 12.13pm, I cant believe it. I havent seen her in eighteen months and I am so excited. It will be great to have the whole family together at christmas. My mum is sooo excited (dont these things mean so much more to mums lol)

Joanna was in school yesterday and made Natalie a welcome home card, And then she got her entire class (and anyone else she stumbled across) to sign it such a sweet thing to do for a 5 year old.

Ah I reckon I have this christmas thing under control. I mean I havent written all my christmas cards yet, or wrapped presents or even thought about irrelevant things like what toys need batteries etc.

On the whole I feel quite calm, Another 8 hours in the day would be handy, and I have something planned every day from now to New years eve, And I have absolutely NOTHING nice to wear But hey shit happens right??

I unfortunatley will be doing my food shopping at 4 in the morning to avoid the masses of hysterical people (I have noooo intention of argueing over parsnips - Nothing is that essential) Apart from that I have everyones presents stuffed in various locations all over the house - Thats all I have to do now is remember where I put them.

But I think ..... No I am sure Christmas wont dissapear or collapse in failure if I just sit here for the afternoon and enjoy the 3 bars of chocolate I have been hiding for me. mmmmmmmm

Oooo with much amusement I have a new house phone with caller ID. This is great because firstly I dont have to answer sales calls (otherwise known as number with held) or calls from my mother in law (just kidding ;) ... no really I was)

It also has the ability to recieve text messages, which it then converts into a voice message. It is sad when all we can do to amuse ourselves is seeing what we can get the automated woman at BT to say, but I guess thats what happens when you approach the big 30.

To my utter horror over the weekend I have discovered that I have bought completely the wrong thing for Ethan for Christmas, He has only asked me for one thing ... and I got it wrong and now I have to find the new toy and of course like most other popular toys its sold out, I have to ask the question WHY? The manufacturers have all year to prepare for Christmas so why dont they make enough damn toys to go around.

The one thing to cheer me up beyond all belief is the thought of the hubby and his best friend Christmas shopping on Saturday for us ladies. Gary cant handle a shopping trip around Tescos without ramming people with trollies... How he is going to shop on one of the busiest shopping days of the year without a clue what he is buying? So any guesses what I will end up with. I reckon it will be a red bra and brief set three sizes too small again.

Its the weekend at last, I feel like I havent had time to breathe all week, this christmas thing is hard work - I wonder if all my hard work will be appreciated (or is that a really stupid thing to say?!?!)

This weekend I intend to do nothing - I have finished christmas pressie shopping,, I have cleaned the house and am up to date with my washing and EBay. So there!! (There is the matter of a history essay - but I am going to with the cat ate it)

I am now going to settle myself in on the sofa get a nice fleecy blanket and seriously relax - possibly with choccies, wine and a chinese. Have a brill weekend all - You wont hear from me again till Monday.

I finally have a new computer, It has pretty lights, 6 usb posts and a camera memory card reader - So thats good enough for me.

I have just discovered the terrible truth about christmas (no its nothing to do with Santa) I have to my absolute horror spent a small fortune, and when I say that I am really not joking.

Note to self - Do not start buying in September and stuff things under bed and forget about them.

The average spend (according to the bbc) on a girl is £127 and £223 on a boy, bullshit!!!!Where did you get those figures - they are rubbish.

Have they actually seen the price of toys - Its £20 for a Barbie.

Anyway back to writing christmas cards by the fire with three bottles of mulled wine :)

So if I had five minutes spare to stop and scratch I probably would write you a long and meaningful post - In the meantime I have another 15 parcels to pack and post off from Ebay (having sent about 35 out yesterday), I have a house that makes the local rubbish dump look organised and tidy and oh yeah I heard christmas is coming up.

Why on earth does a 3 year old need to write 20 christmas cards? In fact what is the point to Christmas cards at all? This coming from a person who loves Christmas - they just happen to be the only part I hate (Apart from turkey which I refuse to buy this year)

Oh well off to dig out the decorations.
